Who you are

At Infarm we grow a smart worldwide Infarm network that brings farming to the people. As the Production Lead , you will be tasked with the general supervision of the production team. This includes planning all schedules for production growers, performing farm and plant checks, reporting harvest records, performing floor audits, and updating sales orders. The Production Lead acts as the initial stakeholder for all production-related issues and updates. 

You have a passion for plants and top-quality food and are an ambassador for Infarm and our mission. Moreover, having high attention to detail and being well organized are among your strongest skills. You are essential in successfully maintaining and managing the production floor.

Responsibilities 

  • Harvest, plant and package Infarm plants while ensuring the delivery of high standard produce to our clients with minimal food waste
  • Climb ladders or stairs to work with tall vertical farms to plant and harvest
  • Protect the health of our plants by applying basic plant protection measure; Provide treatment instructions to Production Growers
  • Report on harvest records and plant issues using our internal Infarm app and project management system
  • Perform daily plants and farms checkup, regular production floor audit, products QA and daily check-up on working stations
  • Plan/Update Production Growers schedule
  • Coordinate sales order packages
  • Work closely with Plant Expert to ensure successful plant health
  • Request supplies for the plant production working stations from the Inventory Specialist
  • Hold 1:1 meetings with the production growers, and hold regular production grower team meetings to communicate policies, procedures, schedules, priorities, workloads, rules and instructions
  • Embrace a leadership position in the production grower team
  • Ensure the safety of yourself and others by following Health and Safety legislation and guidelines
  • Mix chemicals to produce concentrated chemical dosages
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of production operations experience to include people leadership, ensuring operational procedures are met and executing on processes; Bachelor's degree a plus or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Flexible with work hours and willingness to work on weekends
  • Leadership and ownership mentality
  • Time management, interpersonal skills, professionalism, passion for plant growth
  • Strong problem solving & multi-tasking skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to coach and cultivate a successful team
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work under stress and a self-starter
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis
