Position: Remote Sensing Data Analysis Intern – Remote Location 

The Pivot Bio field technology team quantifies the impact of its products on crop performance and sustainability. As part of the field technology team, you will help increase our ability to detect and predict the influence of our product from remotely sensed imagery from UAV and satellite sources. To accomplish this, the Imagery Data Analysis Intern will have the opportunity to develop and implement image analysis algorithms, improve existing remote sensing data pipelines, and produce ready-to-interpret visuals for Pivot Bio’s agronomists and other collaborators. 

Responsibilities: 

• Analyze Remote Sensing data and create models to characterize product success 
• Improve data pipelines for Remote Sensing data (satellite and UAV) 
• Develop automated tools to detect and classify issues in imagery 

Qualifications and Experience

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative discipline, such as engineering, ecology, or computer science 
• Experience with geospatial software such as QGIS/ArcGIS 
• Experience working with remotely sensed data in a geospatial software 
• Minimum 1 year experience programming in Python – experience with spatial packages a plus 
• Strong communication and organization skills
