Warehouse Material Handler

OVERVIEW
The Warehouse Material Handler will be responsible for Materials coming in or out of the facility, as well as how materials move throughout the facility. The WMH (Warehouse Material Handler) needs to be organized, alert, and have the ability to multitask. Electric pallet jack experience, basic math skills, and attention to detail will be some of the core fundamentals in how successful the WMH can be. The WMH should have a constant awareness of production needs, as well as being cognizant of shipping and receiving schedules at the plant. The WMH will act as a bridge for material between the warehouse department and the production department.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Load and unload trailers
• Review incoming and outbound material paperwork
• Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming and outbound deliveries
• Label and transport product to be stored accordingly
• Identify and locate the correct materials for production
• Transport packaging material to designated drop areas for production
• Transport finished pallets to the freezer for storage and shipping

• Collaborate with internal departments to locate any missing packages, correct any deliveries, and replace any damaged products
• Re-stack pallets when necessary 
• Transport incoming material to specified locations for storage

• Inventory cycle counting
• Responsible for daily housekeeping 
• Keep all material handling equipment in top condition by conducting regular maintenance checks

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years warehousing experience
• Forklift and electric pallet jack certification
• Data entry, math, and computer skills
• Effective leadership and team management skills
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to withstand freezing temperatures (0 - 40 degrees Fahrenheit)
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Can stand for extended periods of time
• Work a flexible schedule
