We are looking for a Facilities Manager to manage the Form Energy lab and office operations. This person will be responsible for making sure our facility runs smoothly and leading efforts to improve our space. This person will initially oversee construction of a new facility for battery development. The ideal candidate will be able to manage complex projects as well as be willing to roll up their sleeves to quickly tackle facility management issues. This person will work closely with all members of the Form Energy team to provide a great and safe place to work. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving technology start-up with a breakthrough technology and an incredible mission.

What You'll Do:

  • Oversee the construction of a new 40,000 square-foot battery development facility, managing contractors and coordinating with team members and other stakeholders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of the new facility. 
  • Keep building systems running smoothly and safely, including inspections, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and repairs of building infrastructure.
  • Track and report on facilities non-conformances, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Manage facilities operations, including shipping and receiving and janitorial services.
  • Identify and implement building systems reliability and energy efficiency improvements.
  •  Work closely with technical teams, contractors and other stakeholders to deliver new equipment to meet technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Support the execution and improvement of Form Energy's safety program.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience with electrical, HVAC, chemical handling systems, and/or general contracting.
  • Knowledge of technical operations and facilities management practices.
  • Ability to communicate and work collaboratively across all levels of the business. 
  • Creative problem solving.
  • Ability to prioritize and track multiple projects to completion.
  • Knowledge of CA building codes and environmental requirements.
