We're seeking a forwards thinking People Ops Manager to join our team at an exciting time for our business. You'll be critical to building our organisation and enabling the team to develop climate intelligence through a people-centric approach. You will be working across and co-building our People Operations team in a mission-driven company with a high-quality employee experience and a great culture that is on it’s way to double our headcount across the next 12 months.

You must have experience in both fast-paced transactional HR at a scaling company and the strategic capabilities to co-create enduring and best-in-class People Operations processes. You’ll join our wider Operations team in ensuring that Cervest is able to deliver its mission of empowering everyone to make informed decisions through Earth Science AI.

As a People Operations Manager at Cervest, you will be responsible for:

  • Recruitment: support hiring managers to source and select great candidates, implement and execute best practices to make our recruiting process world-class
  • Onboarding: build a cohesive onboarding process that accelerates the enrollment of new employees to our culture and to productively pursuing our mission
  • Career pathing: design opportunities for existing employees to progress in service of their aspirations and organisational needs
  • Performance Management: Lead the implementation of performance management approaches and a process that is fair, motivating, that people want to use, and that retains top performers utilising CultureAmp and best practice research
  • Employee Growth/Training: implement employee training/professional development programs to support the development of our employees by designing curriculum and/or procuring providers
  • Compliance: stay up to date on legislation & regulation (UK, EU, other), standard practices, employee file maintenance, etc.
  • Company Culture: Help perpetuate our values and belief system throughout the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding as well as every step in between
  • Utilise a data-driven approach: adopt best practice research and facilitate data collection and use to support delivering the above in line with best practices for organisations of Cervest's profile

The interview process for this role will be approximately 4-5 hours in total (which we accommodate as much as possible around your obligations), comprising interviews with 3-4 Cervest representatives across the organisation, and a short assessment on a relevant topic which is agreed in advance.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in high-volume transactional people operations within high growth companies
  • Experience managing full cycle recruitment, optimizing recruitment processes, and leading others to implement them
  • Exceptional prioritization abilities, emotional intelligence, organization capabilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Clear understanding of best practice and research in People Operations and experience in a scaling PeopleOps team
  • Up to speed on high-level UK employment laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Experience in building or strong interest in developing ability to build a team

Benefits

Salary – £40-50K / annum (dependent on experience) or local equivalent

We are a remote first company and looking for candidates who would be able to come to our office in London (once travel is sensible) a few times a year using more sustainable transport methods (we’ll help with that) so generally able to travel to London without needing to fly.
