The IT Engineering team develops solutions to support Cruise’s growth, from the services and infrastructure that support day to day operations to platforms that drive business insights, the IT Engineering team’s impact is far reaching.

We are looking for a talented Senior Engineer that can bring a SRE approach to our IT Infrastructure team.

What you’ll be doing:

• Architecting, deploying, and maintaining Cruise’s IT Infrastructure
• Build tools and services that enable engineers to deliver operationally mature services in production
• Supporting IT teams with automating tedious tasks, enabling them to scale efficiently
• Applying modern engineering methodologies such as infrastructure as code and configuration as code
• Combine open-source and commercial technologies to build services that will enable the business
• Participating in our review processes (design reviews, PRs, RFCs) to ensure we are building reliable and scalable Infrastructure
  
  

What you must have:

• 5+ years of experience as an SRE, Production or Systems Engineer
• Experience with Cloud Platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
• Fluent with one or more programming languages such as Go, Python or Ruby
• Considerable Linux experience
• Ability to coordinate and manage incident response
• Skills in defining and instrumenting SLOs and SLIs
• A desire to automate tasks and processes
• The ability to translate requirements into solutions

Bonus points!

• Previous experience managing Infrastructure in an IT Org
• Familiarity with Windows management
• You approach problems with a security mindset
