Job Description
WHO YOU ARE
As a Legal Operations Coordinator on the Legal Team, you will own records management, preparation of legal documents, contract support, and other tasks vital to the day-to-day operations of our team. You are organized and able to manage competing priorities, while maintaining excellent results and attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Manage and maintain electronic and physical document systems
- Prepare, revise, and finalize documents, including: reconcile redlines, proofread, and properly format and implement styles of legal documents
- Provide contract support, including: obtain signatures on electronic and physical documents, route copies as applicable, obtain copies of fully executed contracts, log key data into CLM system, and assist with contract compliance
- Conduct initial review of incoming legal matters, request and obtain additional information and documentation as needed, and route matters to appropriate owners
- Provide general administrative support, including: process invoices, review and distribute incoming mail, prepare or coordinate outgoing mail, and other support as needed
- Compile data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Conduct legal and business research as requested
- Work with other members of the Legal Team on special projects and initiatives, including company intranet site, employee handbook, procurement program, and policy committee
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Law firm, in-house legal department, or other relevant work experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Positive and professional attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and set priorities
- Proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office (Word & Excel), and Adobe Acrobat
- Proficiency in DocuSign and Asana are a plus
- Notary (commission may be obtained after hire)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
- Move long distances (such as from building to building) and be stationary for extended periods of time
- Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc in a fixed location
