Job Description

The Vehicles team within the Mobility org helps drivers (who do not desire to bring their own vehicles) get easy access to the vehicles by working with a variety of Vehicle Suppliers such as Fleet and Rental companies all over the world.

About the Role:

Uber is committing to become a fully zero-emission platform by 2040 and to realize this, it is committing $800 million in resources to help hundreds of thousands of drivers transition to EVs by 2025. Read more about sustainability vision and CEO's letter on our commitment here.

To realize this vision, we are looking for a strong product manager who will obsess over ways to reduce carbon emissions.

What the Candidate Will Do:

We are looking for a strong product manager who will obsess over ways to reduce carbon emissions.

Some examples include but not limited to are: the growing global adoption of EVs on the platform, helping drivers transition to EVs, launching product enhancements to expand Clean Air Plans, launching discounted EV charging around the world, enhancing discoverability of Green products, and help bring in transparency and accountability by helping report emissions in Uber's Climate Assessment and Performance Report.

The product manager will play an influential role in creation of policies around sustainability and will be working closely with regional policy makers, operations teams (apart from the usual tech teams: engineering, design, UXR, data science and data engineering).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of Product management (or relevant) experience.
  • A passion for building platforms/products at scale.
  • Strong product sense and ability to craft a long term vision
  • Obsession with data and data-driven decision making

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with regulators
  • Bias for action
  • Experience in sustainability
