Job Description

The OVO Group’s purpose is to drive progress towards net zero carbon living. To reach Plan Zero, we need everyone to come together - not just as customers buying energy, but as members with a common goal. As part of this ambitious plan, our goal is to become the ‘Leading Employer in the UK’ by 2030. If you think you could be the talent we’re looking for, then come and join the adventure!

We launched in 2009 with a mission to change energy for the better. Since then, we’ve welcomed over a million members, planted a million trees, and set our sights on helping save the planet.

As a Group, we’re working to become a net zero carbon business by 2030, while helping our OVO Energy members halve their carbon footprints at the same time.

Green energy and technology are great tools to fight the climate crisis with. But it’s people power that will rewrite history.

So we’re building a zero carbon team inside and out. Of people who share our values, feel inspired by our mission, and want to make change happen. When you work for OVO, it’s not just a job. It’s the work of a lifetime. And we want the sharpest minds to help.

Up for the challenge?

Where in the world of OVO will I be working?

Reporting into the Lead SSE Brand Marketer for the Orion Migration, the OVO Retail Brand Manager for member migration will play a critical role in one of the most exceptional tasks our business has undertaken to date.

Starting from 2021, we will migrate all our OVO customers, across all our brands, onto our proprietary technology energy management platform, enabling us to build a world class energy experience for the future. To do this we need to plan the migration comms strategy and refresh the end-to-end digital and operational comms experience. This individual will be a key part of the Brand team which makes this happen. All of the existing OVO retail brands’ communications will be reviewed against the migration plan;  some new comms will be created and existing comms improved and/or redesigned to deliver a consistent and leading customer experience.

What will I be doing?

The Brand Marketing Manager will report into the Lead Migration Brand Marketing Manager and work alongside a wider cross functional, cross brand team to ensure the new member experience and migration communications campaign is appropriately branded across all touchpoints and journeys. Specifically, you will;

  • Support the Senior Brand Marketer, alongside the Commercial (Comms) team in understanding and mapping the end to end customer migration journey and all key member touchpoints to achieve a migration comms strategy that ensures all customers receive the right comms at the right time and churn risk is mitigated.
  • Support the Creative Studio Team (PMs, Copywriters and Designers) to ensure all customer touchpoints apply the relevant brands’ TOV and Look & Feel within the end to end experience.
  • Support the creative development of key brand distinctive designed assets and lockups to support a consistent and well-branded customer journey.
  • Working to review all Comms and Digital Journey briefs and communications and ensure that the brand (in TOV & look and feel) is maintained across all touchpoints.
  • Support in writing and managing the branding briefs for all comms and journeys for the end to end experience.
  • Have a strong understanding of the relevant brand strategies, and how they should be executed and expressed; helping to guide cross functional teams through appropriate brand delivery at different stages of the life cycle (in line with brand activity, vision, tone and guidelines).
  • Work closely with creative teams to develop on-brand assets against all briefs and manage output on time and within the available resources.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to further improve experience and create a future roadmap for any further functionality / comms updates.
  • Attend all core team status meetings and support on; sharing updates, resolving questions and circulating relevant action points.
  • Support Lead SSE Brand Marketer in filling in project RAG and documentation.

Is this the job for me?
