Laboratory Glassware Technician

YOUR CONTRIBUTIONS

• Collect and clean glassware from all departments; sterilize when appropriate.
• Restock and maintain par levels of all commonly used glassware throughout labs.
• Assist with general lab maintenance and housekeeping per department procedures, including inactivation of biohazardous waste through autoclave or chemical inactivation.
• Follow safety guidelines, equipment procedures, and chemical handling guidelines.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Operate autoclaves, glassware washers, and sonicator.
• Troubleshoot issues and follow up as necessary to ensure resolution

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

• High School diploma plus one (1) year lab experience or equivalent experience required.
• Able to work on your feet, standing or walking up to 80% of shift.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service skills, problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Must be fluent in Microsoft Office and know how to use a computer to access the internet.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Able to lift 50 lbs.
