Job Description

As our Technical Program Manager, Manufacturing Engineering you will support our Manufacturing Engineering team to develop and implement industrial processes and support the coordination of the day-to-day vehicle assembly/test activities. You will work cross-functionally with Logistics, Vehicle Quality, Vehicle Engineering, and Software to help us achieve our operational and strategic milestones. You will work with the relevant teams to develop specific department roadmaps, project schedules, identify milestones, flag risks, estimate budgets, track costs, and clearly communicate on-going progress.

Responsibilities

  • Work with team members to translate the top-down corporate strategy and milestones into detailed roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables
  • Support day to day vehicle assembly and test operation by ensuring cross-functional alignment and driving resolution/escalating of any roadblock
  • Work with finance, facilities, procurement, PMO, etc. to define and then track resource requirements (headcount and budget)
  • Ensure every team understands what they need to deliver at all times
  • Define and manage processes and conduct regular meetings
  • Establish standard reports to provide concise and effective communications to key stakeholders on program status, issues/risks, and accomplishments
  • Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk-mitigating actions are on-going within the teams
  • Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and finance to reach the right conclusions

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in an engineering or management discipline 
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, engineering, program management
  • Experience with industry manufacturing (i.e. automotive, aerospace, robotics etc.) and the necessary integration with related functions such as logistics and quality
  • Strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects
