QuantumScape is an energy storage technology company, located in San Jose, California. We are working on a fundamental disruption in the field of energy storage.  We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Corporate Development Director to be a key leader in the evaluation and execution of partnership and growth opportunities for QuantumScape. This role will either lead or assist in all aspects of potential collaboration and partnership transactions - strategy formation, developing business cases, deal execution, and integration.The Corporate Development team at QuantumScape focuses on facilitating the company’s work with our strategic partners to bring world-class technology and talent into the company through collaborations and acquisitions. The team is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, structuring, and executing impactful collaboration and joint development arrangements, as well as informing the company's strategy by identifying industry trends and maintaining relationships with the company’s partners and investors.Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, this position is a critical position that will support our partnership and growth efforts. This person will be the key contact point for acquisition targets, as well as a cross-functional internal liaison across internal teams. You Will •            Partner with senior executives and product leads to develop strategies and identify partnership, collaboration, and acquisition opportunities that accelerate our mission.•            Establish and maintain relationships with senior executives from leading technology companies to inform product strategy and stay up-to-date with competitive landscape•            Drive the overall corporate dev deal pipeline, including outreach to and sourcing of new opportunities•            Conduct rigorous analysis to provide detailed guidance and insight regarding companies and potential partnerships, collaborations, and acquisitions.•            Lead deal negotiation, due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions, including coordinating cross-functional product, engineering, and functional teams to evaluate potential business partners. Qualifications: Successful corporate development professionals have many different backgrounds and experiences. Strong analytical skills, fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation, and broad quantitative analyses and familiarity with accounting & key operational metrics.  We are looking for someone who can be a senior member of our corporate development team, run transactions independently, and is passionate about facilitating the transition to EVs.  We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
