Your role and your team:

We are looking for an ambitious and experienced production planning and control expert who applies Lilium’s revolutionary product & business model into the development of very modern, automated and people-focused aircraft assembly factory. You will operate in the center of our expanding plant and play a key role in the preparation, scheduling and execution of production orders for all factories with a special focus on one factory. Your role is fundamental in building a new way of high-volume production within a few years. The Production Planning and Control team provides the best process & technology solutions in connecting supply chain, logistics and production factories to meet the production requirements and the business targets in accordance to the quality standards of EASA 21G and EN9100. In parallel, PP&C is the orchestrater between all teams in order to enable rapid prototyping and early technology development & demonstration projects.

You will be part of the team which drives 4 key processes within Lilium

(1) Develop, own, communicate and secure the schedule for all factories

(2) Provide and manage the platform for rapid prototyping execution across all factories

(3) Elaborate a tactical and strategic production and procurement plan for all plants

(4) Establish the framework and processes for an innovative planning system landscape

 

Your day to day:

  • Generate and orchestrate the drumbeat for one factory within Lilium's production network
  • Manage the delivery compliance of outsourced orders interlinked with internal production tasks
  • Shape the set-up, development and vision of the central Lilium Control Tower
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet engineering and production requirements
  • Generate capacity plans to enable forward and backward planning
  • Work with ERP/MRP users and ensure the integrity of data for today’s and future IT infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain a KPI set together with the respective factory head relating to process, product and operation on-time performance and advise management when on-time order delivery is in jeopardy
  • Evaluate production statistics and their impact to the production schedule. Report major variances from the plan to manage personnel accordingly and identify bottlenecks in the process set-up
  • Take responsibility for special overarching topics

 

Your profile:

Business Experience / Skills

  • Successfully completed degree in management, (industrial) engineering or equivalent field
  • Experience in automated manufacturing including dynamic planning & execution during prototyping and series ramp up
  • 5 years work experience in respective field
  • Experience in “end to end” contribution for implementing a production planning and control concept from proof of concept to series production ramp up and a high volume production
  • Proven experience in project management
  • Expertise  in scheduling, planning and controlling of production processes
  • Willingness to take ownership and to transfer improvement ideas into reality
  • Team player with analytic problem-solving skills and a high customer focus
  • Work independently
