Solar Project Developer

Carrollton, TX (North Dallas)

 The Solar Project Developer will lead all aspects of solar project development for industrial-scale distributed generation solar projects, including site control, permitting and interconnection, as well as preparing projects for financing and construction.

Duties include:

- Use online software tools to evaluate sites, create preliminary designs

- Create project budgets and timelines

- Manage and report on project progress against milestones

- Prepare and review key site control and revenue contracts

- Manage interconnection process as primary point of contact with the utility

- Engage with development partners and vendors supplying resources during project development

- Evaluate and understand local programs supporting solar and storage projects; including analysis of new markets

- Determine development path and attend public meetings to achieve state and local project approvals.

- Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules. Provide concise summary reports and status updates to the management team

 This job includes training and you are not expected to be able to do all of these duties on day one, but you must be willing to work hard and learn fast.

 REQUIREMENTS:

* BS/BA Degree - Engineering, Science, Finance, Environmental, or related field

* 2+ years of work experience, preferably in an electric utility, renewable energy company, property developer or similar field

* Able to handle multiple simultaneous projects and get tasks done quickly

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint

* Willing to travel as needed

* Clean driving license
