Job Description

Madly growing and located in Ballard, we are seeking a full-time Purchasing Agent / Planner to join our team. If you enjoy working in a collaborative environment and are looking to support a dynamic team, read on.
Our Purchasing Agent / Planner will be responsible for collaborating with the Supply Chain and Product teams to finalize purchasing plans and working with vendors to ensure consistent progress.

Why You’re Rad:

  • 3+ years of purchasing, demand planning and/or procurement of materials
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills, including supply terms, material specs and delivery arrangements
  • Experience preparing, issuing, organizing and following purchase orders throughout the order lifecycle (including transfers, shipment changes, errors and escalations)
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment, juggling multiple priorities and requests simultaneously 
  • Experience with the collection and reporting of data to both validate vendor performance and optimize planning processes and procedures 

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong math, market research and systems entry/tracking experience 
  • Strong analytical skills

You get bonus points for:

  • Prior experience and knowledge of ebikes
  • Understanding of commodities and purchase strategies

  • Verified purchasing plans by reviewing forecast data with our Supply Chain Analyst & through discussions with key stakeholders from S&OP process
  • Issued POs based on agreed upon demand plans & sales strategy
  • Compared items planned to ensure product & strategy alignment; clarifying unclear items; recommending alternatives where necessary
  • Prepared purchase orders by verifying product specifications and pricing
  • Verified receipt of items by comparing receiving data to reported items shipped / ordered; resolves shipment errors / issues with suppliers
