Where in the world of OVO will I be working? 

This role sits within the Field Growth and Development team as part of our Field Operations and reports to the Supplier Relationship Manager. You’ll be a key point of contact responsible for ensuring we deliver on our responsibility to internal and external stakeholders

What will I be doing?

The successful candidate will have a passion for developing commercial relationships in order to extract operational value.  This role is focused on managing the relationships for a handful of key internal and external partners ensuring that both parties deliver against contractual and internal group requirements.  

Working with your internal colleagues you will also get the opportunity to support achievement of departmental goals. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing positive relationships with key internal customers across OVO, OVO Smart Homes, Boost and SSE energy and maintaining high levels of satisfaction in the services provided to them
  • Delivering effective account management support for a small number of external contacted parties 
  • Working closely with our Planning, Performance and Field teams to ensure processes in place and working effectively to support our obligations
  • Deal promptly with any arising performance issues and make sure communication with stakeholders is open, honest and productive.  
  • Assure that processes are in place to encourage continual performance improvement and carry out regular reviews of service delivery
  • Initiate activity to address operational issues before they impact customers, continually improve how customers perceive OVO by taking responsibility for solving customer challenges, regardless of organisational boundaries.
  • Look ahead to focus actions on sustaining improved business performance, capturing opportunities for Field Operations to deliver better value
  • You’ll be a strong advocate of looking at options through the lens of total customer focus and promoting ideas that will enable Field Operations to stay in the ‘top box’ for satisfaction
  • Drive relentlessly to do things better, striving for and setting new standards of excellence. Develop a culture of personal ownership and accountability for high performance across our teams

Do I have what it takes?

Essential skills and experience:

  • A consistent track record of developing positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience of managing contractual disputes
  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment where prioritisation is required
  • Confidence in presenting information to various levels of stakeholder and external parties
  • Confident in problem solving and collaborating with different organisations
  • Having the resilience and confidence to act with integrity building trust and delivering on commitments

Ideally you will have…

  • Analytical skills and a strong commercial awareness
  • Sound knowledge of smart metering would be an advantage.
  • A background in working in a regulated environment where standards are measured (e.g. conduct, performance indicators etc
