We're looking for an experienced, highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to develop new batteries and the processes.
IN THIS ROLE:You will be responsible for design new battery packaging, manage product drawings and support pilot line fixtures, equipment and quality assurance during all phases of the development and implementation.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Develop new product packaging for unique solid state batteries.- Maintain product drawings- Collaborate with process team and pilot line team to develop assembly fixturing- Collaborating with equipment development partners and suppliers to develop new automation equipment
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Experience and Education- BS or higher degree in mechanical engineering- 10+ years' experience with equipment design, automation, and integration from R&D to manufacturing in battery industry- Experience with AutoDesk Vault PDM or equivalent PDM/PLM systems- Experience with supplier management and collaborating with remote engineering teams
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES: - Advanced knowledge with Inventor, SoildWorks, or equivalent 3D CAD systems and in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)- Excellent communication skills, collaborative and a positive attitude- 5-10% travel requiredWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
