About the Role: 

As the Lifecycle Marketing Specialist, you’ll focus on the execution and optimization of our lifecycle marketing channels. Reporting to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you’ll blend content optimization, audience targeting, and execution tactics to maximize the effectiveness of our customer communications around retention, acquisition, and AOV. Day-to-day tasks include deployment of batch and triggered emails, reporting on campaign performance, and using data to make optimizations to future and ongoing campaigns.
In this role, you’ll be managing the critical details of the email and SMS channel for Imperfect Foods. This role is part of a high-performing, data-driven marketing organization which values teamwork and collaboration. We’re excited to have you ensure lifecycle marketing is one of our most highly effective acquisition and retention channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute our ad-hoc comms and weekly newsletter. Coordinate with creative and ops teams to develop assets and timelines for deployment.
  • Provide day-to-day campaign execution support to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager and other LCM team members, with a focus on email HTML coding, QA, audience segmentation, workflow builds, and dynamic content optimization.
  • Develop and execute ongoing A/B and multivariate tests to drive incremental business growth.
  • Report on campaign performance and share insights/learnings with the team.
  • Analyze campaign data and make recommendations for new strategies and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work cross-functionally with teams inside and outside of marketing to create and optimize compelling campaigns for our customers.
  • Build and maintain documentation around best practices, lifecycle campaigns, test results, and processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years email and SMS channel experience, with hands-on experience building and deploying both blast comms and automated campaigns
  • Basic email HTML/CSS knowledge required
  • Experience and understanding of A/B and multivariate testing
  • Experience with email automation platforms required (Iterable a plus; Mailchimp doesn’t qualify!)
  • Experience coding and testing dynamic email content
  • Solid analytical skills with a passion for using data to make decisions
  • Skilled with Excel, SQL a plus
  • Experience with LCM tools (such as Movable Ink and Litmus) a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Details of Position:

  • Full-time/ Exempt position reporting to the Lifecycle Marketing Manager
  • Candidate can be remotely located within US time zones

Physical Requirements:

  • Sedentary work; involves sitting most of the time

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.

We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
