The Opportunity at Volta Charging
This is a highly collaborative technical role that requires engineering expertise, the ability to project manage a high volume of relatively small projects, and excellent communications skills in order to ensure optimal execution amongst many internal and external partners.
In your first 90 days, you will
Ramp up on Volta’s pipeline from charging solutions sales through engineering and into construction
Develop proficiency with all productivity and Reporting tools. (i.e. SalesForce and SiteTracker
Build strong working relationship with region’s CPM’s, design firms, Site Sales partners, and Volta account management reps.
Start to own all new project requests in-region and significant ownership of active projects in-region
After twelve months, you will have accomplished
Managing the distribution of projects in-region to be from Project Kickoff through Permitting by Engineering Vendors, or self
Developing streamlined processes to track progress and move projects along the pipeline.
Capable of identifying and coordinating projects with the Local Utility Co. on projects that require new utility service
Deep understanding of L2 and DCFC design principles to ensure efficient first steps for each project
Project-managing 50+ L2 projects through permitting
What you bring to Volta Charging
Detail-oriented, excessively organized
Excellent at managing a high volume of small projects
Technical aptitude for concepts related to electrical engineering, construction processes, and real estate
Willingness to engage in tactical, step-by-step process of project management
Ability to manage third-party design contractors professionally on a day-to-day basis
Ability to manage external clients professionally on a day-to-day basis
An appreciation for traveling regularly (25%-50%); you’ll be spending time on sites throughout the Engineering and Coordination process
Confident working remotely and operating independently
Valid driving license (this is required for the role)
Acceptable driving history for three years pre-employment, and continuing while employed (this is required for the role)
