About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Director of Product Management with a track record of creating extraordinary product experiences at scale. In this role you will be accountable for leading our consumer-facing efforts, managing our rider Apps PM (core rider experience, customer engagement, compliance), localization efforts, and life-cycle marketing. Your product management expertise will help us create category-defining micromobility products and services that delight users around the world. Your people skillset will allow you to get the best of the talented team you will lead and to be the best partner for Engineering, Business, Marketing and other key functions at Spin.

At Spin we experiment a lot, using data to inform our decisions, monitor and decide to stop or improve going forward. However, as an experienced leader you know that data can’t paint the whole picture and you have other tools at your disposal to help you make the best choices.

This role reports to our Vice President of Product and will aid in setting product vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution across the board.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, champion, and execute a product vision for our consumer-oriented products consistent with Spin’s overarching vision and mission.
  • Hire, mentor, and guide a team of exceptional product managers, and more, with an inclusive and open mind.
  • Empower others to deliver outstanding user experiences that redefine micromobility and achieve Spin’s strategic milestones.
  • Communicate product plans, benefits and results to Leadership and related stakeholders.
  • Create strong relationships with Engineering, Business, Data, Marketing, Policy, and Operation leaders.
  • Challenge and debate issues of importance to identify the best possible outcome for the customer.
  • Use a savvy mix of data and product instinct to make the best decisions for the product experience, then monitor, review and improve upon it over time.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years of experience as a product manager, including 5+ years leading consumer product experience.
  • 5+ years of direct experience building and managing high-functioning teams.
  • Ability to articulate a clear product vision to cross-functional partners and our leadership team.
  • Track record of ensuring successful product launches and life-cycle.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, critical thinking and project management skills.
  • Strong verbal/presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make things happen around you, with a positive and “get it done” attitude.
