Beyond Meat is looking for a dynamic self-starter who is passionate about turning insights into action that will inform decisions both internally and externally. The role will work directly with the Director of Insights & Analytics to create, synthesize, and leverage consumer insights to support the domestic and international growth initiatives of the company. This individual will work with cross-functional teams to integrate consumer-driven data from multiple sources for a methodical approach to decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the global learning plan to build best in class expertise in marketplace and consumer understanding.
  • Activate insights that will influence strategy, communication, product development, and pricing recommendations in domestic and international markets.
  • Support quantitative and qualitative foundational consumer research activities in coordination with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Oversee all components of custom primary research, including design, methodology, project management, and presentation of results.
  • Analyze and activate insights from research studies, including but not limited to: segmentation, attitude & usage studies, concept testing, price sensitivity studies, brand health tracking, and ad hoc custom surveys.
  • Manage relationship with external research vendors, including the selection and requirements.
  • Identify key business issues and opportunities through the interpretation of multiple data sources (i.e., primary, secondary, and third party data)
  • Develop business cases, create topline stories, develop product concepts, and identify white spaces that can be leveraged to promote category expansion in the restaurant and CPG retail industries
  • Provide thought leadership to inform marketing, innovation, and sales strategies by adding fact-based rigor in initial planning stages
  • Support the Marketing and Sales team in the development of sell decks and other collateral by incorporating data-driven consumer and category insights

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in market research, consumer insights, or marketing, preferably within the restaurant or retail CPG industries
  • Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies and applications
  • Ability to drive significant positive impact across a company, with a proven track record of driving results through fact-based insights
  • Experience partnering with internal marketing and sales stakeholders to build presentations for customer meetings (demonstrating marketplace and consumer expertise)
  • Strong data analysis skills, writing skills, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to answer business questions
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and thrive in a cross-functional environment
  • A structured thinker capable of problem-solving with the ability to translate insights into meaningful narratives and stories
  • A self-starter who is passionate about getting data, using data, making sense of data, and helping others benefit from making analytics-driven decisions.
