Job Description

Redaptive is searching for a dedicated and talented Account Executive to align with our existing customers to drive satisfaction and ensure an ongoing successful commercial relationship by driving buy-in and progress. Reporting to the Portfolio Sales Leader, the Account Executive is responsible for managing the relationship as we implement contracted energy efficiency retrofits as well as seeking and pursuing further opportunities with the customer.   
This is an external facing role that requires working with partners and existing customers as well as internally with Redaptive’s sales executives, energy and financial modeling teams, project delivery, legal, safety, and finance teams.   
The role will have an opportunity to contribute in a direct and visible way to Redaptive’s top and bottom-line by successfully driving projects and managing customer relationships to profitable completion and high NPS scores. The headquarters and senior leadership are located in the San Francisco Bay Area but Redaptive has a “work from anywhere” office practice so this position can be located anywhere in the US. 

Job Responsibilities

  • The Account Executive is the owner of customer satisfaction and successful execution.  The Account Executive is uniquely positioned to secure an ongoing mutually successful commercial relationship.  As such, the AE ensures: 
  • Customer is well supported and connected as their project progresses 
  • Vendor selection aligns with customer and project requirements 
  • Project audits are completed to satisfaction as a foundation for success 
  • Buy-in and commitment of the site level decision makers on project and customer-side deliverables is secured 
  • Plans and resources for project and metering are set and executed 
  • Customer administrative aspects are smooth and efficient 
  • Open, thorough, and productive communication with customer and internal parties 

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience.  B2B Commercial & Industrial Real Estate improvements or energy retrofits is preferred but not required. 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong presentation building and delivering.  
  • Ability to break down complex structures into relevant points for a diverse set of stakeholders.   
  • Skilled at influential information sharing. 
  • Superb probing and listening skills to anticipate customer needs 
  • Strong quantitative analysis and quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills. 
  • Commercially minded, anticipating customer need in big picture. 
  • Strategic relationship management and trust building  
  • Organized:  Prioritization skills and Project management skills to drive output from multiple workstreams and various support team members as well as customer and partner with skillful follow-up. 
  • High standards for self and others; Strong ambition to succeed; Driven and hard working. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% when travel resumes. 
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to working from home for the foreseeable future
