Your role

We are looking for an experienced and pragmatic Internal Control and Risk Manager who enjoys a rapidly developing organization. In this brand new role you will be the driving force in bringing our risk management framework to the next level and prepare our organisation for establishing our own internal audit department.

With your expertise you will improve our insight into our risks and adequately control those risks. You will work closely together with various internal and external stakeholders to analyse and improve processes, identify risks and assist in the implementation of various controls. Next to that you interact with our external auditors and Audit Committee to ensure adequate alignment and follow-up of any risks that have been identified.

As a member of the Fastned-family we want you to ‘think like a founder’. We value your input and we expect you to think critically and take ownership. This hands-on role will be based in our Amsterdam headquarters and you will become part of a diverse & fun international team. You will have exposure to the entire organisation ranging from location acquisition and finance, to operations and software development. In that way you will get the unique chance to learn a lot about Fastned and our future-driven industry.

Who we are looking for

In order to be effective in this role you bring along the skills & experience to integrate yourself into our organisation quickly. You must be a strong relationship manager and be able to interact with various levels within the organisation. You should be able to translate your experience into a way of working with risk management and internal control that is suitable for a young and rapidly growing organisation. Additionally, you tick the following boxes:

• 7-10 years (or more) of previous experience in accountancy, risk management, IT audit and/or internal control;
• Masters degree in accountancy or similar university education (e.g., RA, RO, RE);
• Outstanding communication skills and a proven track-record of working in a quickly changing environment;
• Good verbal and writing skills both in Dutch and English;
• Affinity with IT and technology in general;
• Affinity with fast growing companies;
• Ability to connect at different organizational levels;
• You are highly motivated by accelerating the energy transition.
