ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking an enthusiastic, leadership minded, motivated, and resourceful candidate to join our Project Leadership Organization (PLO) Senior Manager, Project Leadership, EMEA. Apeel’s PLO exists to provide Project Leadership that Enables Apeel’s Strategic Vision, by Bringing Ideas to Life. This role, you will be accountable to lead the project leadership team (including project management and project engineering) internationally throughout EMEA, to enable successful execution of the regional capital project portfolio. This is a critical role for our organization, in which the portfolio encompasses numerous complex, resource intensive projects to be completed with a high degree of quality on accelerated timelines.

This role is located in De Lier, Netherlands, or Valencia, Spain and reports directly to our Senior Director, Project Leadership Organization. We are looking for someone to join us immediately. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

• Lead the PLO team  (Project Management and Project Engineering) within the regional area of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) to deliver complex or multi-country capital project portfolio
• Oversee the execution of the Apeel Project Management Lifecycle by reviewing and approving project plans, work breakdown structure, project schedule and overall budget.
• Meet the portfolio targets for project performance ensuring projects are performed on schedule, within budget and meet all quality and regulatory requirements
• Influence standardization of Project Leadership best practices and support the implementation of PLO structure in the EMEA region
• Interface with regional sales, product, operations teams to successfully deliver the capital portfolio to support sales, product and operational targets
• Coach and mentor employees in project management and business best practices while driving accountability for results
• Act as a point of escalation for scope changes, timeline, resources and other specific project related issues

WHAT YOU BRING

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline
• 10+ years of related experience within a highly matrixed organization, delivering a large capital project portfolio ($20MM+) of small to medium projects with a focus on project performance and results
• 3 -5 years experience managing globally dispersed teams
• Business-level (C1) proficiency in English 
• Ability to travel internationally 35% of the time

• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks on highly visible projects with aggressive timelines
• Growth mindset: a curiosity to approach (hard) problems in novel ways and an orientation toward continuous learning
