About this job 

The Lab Operations Associate will manage day to day operations of the R&D lab. You will ensure that the lab is running smoothly, that users have the equipment, supplies, and facilities to perform their research. Spanning all R&D functions, you are comfortable in a fast-paced environment based around providing support for a variety of needs. You take pride in an efficiently run facility, enjoy fostering relationships, and are always willing to lend a hand.

Duties include

• Routine lab maintenance including troubleshooting equipment failures, coordinating service and preventative maintenance, and calibrating equipment
• Manage commonly stocked lab consumables, gases, and cold storage organization
• Purchasing and receiving supplies and equipment
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contract pricing
• Promote a strong safety culture
• Coordinate facility maintenance
• Perform other duties as needed

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to effectively time manage incoming requests
• Proactive and creative problem solver that can troubleshoot issues and anticipate needs
• Organized and with continuous improvement mindset
• Able to collaborate across and support various functional groups
• Experience working in and managing labs
