Upshift is looking for talented bicycle delivery concierges!
Available Shifts: 8am-2pm every day, and/or 2-8pm weekends
Location: 981 Mission St, San Francisco, CA
Compensation: $20/hr + 25¢/hr reimbursement (for bicycle gear/maintenance)

Upshift is a rapidly growing transportation startup in San Francisco that provides a simple alternative to owning a car. We provide our subscription members with a clean, fully fueled, hybrid RAV4 SUV or Prius delivered to their door on the days they need to drive somewhere.
Your role: deliver our hybrid cars (ride between jobs by bike)
We are hiring bicycle delivery concierges to provide a great experience for our members. You will clean, gas, and deliver our hybrid RAV4 SUVs and Priuses to our members in San Francisco and get between deliveries with your bicycle. We are particularly looking for help during weekends. You will make people's lives easier, reduce the need to own a car, improve the livability of San Francisco, and address climate change!

The details
We are looking for talented concierge candidates to join our team for the following regular shifts. Times are approximate and can vary somewhat based on the business needs that day. We will schedule the details of your shift the night before. Choose the regular shifts you want to get the number of hours you are looking to pick up. We are especially looking for help on the weekends.
Saturdays 8am-2pm (priority shift)
Sundays 8am-2pm (priority shift)
Tuesdays: 8am-2pm
Wednesdays: 8am-2pm
Thursdays: 8am-2pm
Saturdays 2pm-8pm
Sundays 2pm-8pm
Requirements:
- Own a bicycle in working condition that you are comfortable and familiar with riding in San Francisco
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Own an iPhone or Android phone with knowledge of navigation apps like Google Maps or Waze
- Outstanding communication skills
- Time management skills (ability to work efficiently in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment, on a deadline)
- Attention to detail
- Clean driving record
- Legal to work in the US with documents to verify this
Major responsibilities:
- Provide great service to our members while delivering cars
- Ability to navigate the city quickly, safely, and easily by both car and bicycle
- Clean, fuel, and move cars
- Damage/vehicle condition reporting
- Orient our members to our Priuses and RAV4 hybrid SUVs and our service, and answer basic support questions
- Deliver cars on-time, clean, and fully fueled 99% of the time
The ideal candidate has:
- Experience working on a team
- Familiarity both driving a car and riding a bicycle in San Francisco
- Previous experience in high touch service (condominium front desk, bartending, waitstaff, etc.) a plus

COVID-19 considerations:
The health and safety of our team and community matter to us. We provide PPE like KN95 and surgical masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and natural disinfectant wipes. We have tech in our cars to unlock so there is no need to meet in person to exchange keys.

Sharing cars means fewer cars made, owned, and parked. Our hybrid fleet uses half the gas (and produces half the CO2). Our cars have the latest semi-autonomous technologies like adaptive cruise control, pre-collision avoidance, and blind spot monitor detection to keep you safe - you practically don’t even need to drive or park them! Our concierges deliver using bicycles and we use all natural, biodegradable, and waterless cleaning supplies.
Usage based subscription pricing reduces the miles people drive by 27%. We see a roughly 4x reduction in CO2 emissions over owning a gas car. Our service has already eliminated over 351,637 pounds of CO2. We’re planning to electrify our fleet soon to deepen our impact.
