SUMMARY

The Logistics Analyst is part of the supply chain team at Nexamp that is responsible for making the most efficient logistical decisions. The Logistics Analyst will support the Logistics Manager in serving as a liaison between logistics and internal business units that we support with logistics solutions. This person will also be tasked with developing and maintaining actionable data to improve the efficiency of our operations. Candidates should have a good understanding of key supply chain and logistical processes such as procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation. In addition, this job will also support any key supply chain projects, improvements, or implementations in a timely, safe, and environmentally fashion.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Logistics Analyst must be a strategic thinker, planner, and problem solver to support both logistics partners and internal business units to consistently ensure best in class service.
  • Assist in the development of logistics strategies to reduce cost, shorten lead time, and enhance service performance and efficiencies.
  • Produce performance metrics, KPIs, such as, on time delivery, freight bill accuracy, prefect order rate, etc.
  • Identify opportunities to drive cost reductions and improve service in collaboration with the team resulting in the implementation continuous improvements.
  • Maintain and populate statistical data pertaining to all modes of transportation, carrier performance, and compliance.
  • Audit both inbound and outbound freight invoices for financial controls checking for accuracy, exceptions, improvement opportunities.
  • Review SOPs and suggest adjustments when applicable.
  • Consistently monitoring and reporting changes in freight rates per market.
  • Assist the Logistics Manager with technological developments, changes, enhancements with-in the operating system(s).
  • Not afraid to roll up sleeve to get job done.
  • Success in the role is achieved when stakeholders are delighted by the solutions and results put forth by the supply chain team resulting in best-in-class service.

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. The candidate should be prepared to enter a rapidly growing company and must be agile enough to successfully adjust to evolving initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, or business management.
  • Minimum (2-5) years of experience in supply chain management, operations, logistics, or business management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain terminology and data elements.
  • Data driven, analytical, and comfortable performing opportunity assessment through measurables.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment consistently seeking improvements.
  • TMS experience – ability to plan loads when necessary.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to present data and ideas in a collaborative friendly environment.
