Position: Technical Recruiter, Preferred location Berkeley CA Headquarters

We are looking for an experienced technical recruiter to help take Pivot Bio’s recruiting and sourcing efforts to the next level by deploying service excellence using innovative techniques.  If you are looking for an opportunity with one of the most innovative Ag Biotech companies, this may be the role for you.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to help build a first-class recruiting program.  You will play a valuable lead role in talent acquisition by sourcing, assessing, and selecting candidates in a process that emphasizes engagement and influence with our Scientific and Technology teams.  

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a key player in a high-volume talent acquisition unit, representing Pivot Bio’s brand in sourcing, assessing, interviewing.  Maintains a constant engagement with candidates, hiring managers, and interviewing team.  
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and other People Operations leaders on talent acquisition projects. 
  • Takes the lead in sourcing and identifying high-potential candidates by assessing their qualifications through review of resumes, phone screening, and other forms of communication.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications; keeps a strong pulse on interest levels and/or concerns of top candidates. 
  • Mentors and guides hiring managers on Pivot Bio’s recruitment process and industry best practices.  
  • Updates and maintains status in ATS and relating recruiting records.
  • Attends job fairs and industry conferences and assists with booth staffing.  
  • Develops and maintains effective collaborative relationships with hiring managers and others on interview teams.  Meets regularly with hiring manager and teams and guides the recruitment process.  

Qualifications and Experience

  • BS degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field or have relevant equivalent experience.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with hiring managers and interview teams.
  • At least 2 years experience recruiting for research, scientific, computing, data science, and/or  bioprocessing roles.  
  • Must have excellent written and communication skills
  • Proactive and independent with ability to take initiative
  • Proficient with Google suite, Greenhouse or other ATS, and social media.


Must be authorized to work in the United States
