We are currently seeking an experienced Training and Development Specialist to join our growing team. In this position, you will oversee, design, develop, coordinate, and run the training program. You will also evaluate the effectiveness of training and employee growth as well as report training needs and results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive training programs, including corporate topics, Safety, Quality, Human Resources, SOP, GMP, and compliance training. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and liaise with various experts regarding instruction and training planning.
  • Conduct regular needs assessments, identifying skills or knowledge gaps that need addressing.
  • Plan and manage onboarding training for new employees though orientation and on-the-job training.
  • Maintain a database of curriculum, materials, and personnel training records.
  • Aid in developing technical training for new processes and equipment; develop and prepare educational training aids and materials as needed.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training courses and provide summary reports to management, determining impact of training on employee skills and corporate goals.
  • Manage the application for and use of the Missouri One Start funding.
  • Oversee and maintain in-house training facilities and necessary training equipment.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the Production Trainers.

QULAIFICATIONS:

  • Business acumen.
  • Cultural awareness.
  • Relationship management.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google-based platforms (Sheets, Docs, Drive, Forms), and web-based training tools
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work.
  • Fluent in the English language (speak, hear, read, comprehend).
  • Bachelor’s degree in training, Human Resources, education, or related field.
  • Significant work experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiar with both traditional and modern job training methods, trends, and techniques.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee spends time sitting and using a computer, standing to perform training, walking the facility to train and evaluate compliance, and maintaining a safe, clean, and secure working environment.
  • The employee uses computer, telephone, and office equipment.
  • The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements of this job include near, distance, and depth perception.
  • Continuous mental and visual attention is required.
  • The employee will be required to visit the production floor and other building areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
  • The employee will be required to observe the safety standards of the location.
  • The physical demands and work environment characteristics described above are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
