The Opportunity:

Enel North America, Inc. is recruiting a Senior Financial Analyst to support our Demand Response and Customer Insights businesses. The Financial Planning & Analysis group drives Enel's planning, budgeting, management reporting, and financial analysis functions. The ideal candidate thrives in times of change, is team-oriented, relentless in pursuit of process improvements, is an expert in manipulating data in excel and learning new financial systems and develops strong relationships with business partners. 

What You'll Do at Enel:

  • Manage the full P&L of the Demand Response and Customer Insight businesses, with full understanding of revenue, costs, expenses, profitability, capex and cash flow. 
  • Collaborate with North America and Global/Italian business colleagues to forecast financials, and monitor the risks and upsides of the business. Monitor business performance through utilizing the global industrial control model, managing KPIs, sales pipeline and related activities 
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operational reporting processes and work to improve usefulness of data and efficiency of distribution, maintaining specific reports and dashboards for Demand Response and Customer Insights 
  • Expert at using the SAP financial system to review financial activity, manage cost and revenue segmentations, through knowledge of reporting and management of WBS objects 
  • Develop the annual budget and long-range financial plan for the products and functional budgets under your purview 
  • Partner with accounting team and procurement managers to train budget managers and purchasers in procurement best practices for appropriate classifications of costs 
  • Support ad-hoc analysis projects and reporting 
  • Work with the East Coast team with frequent calls and collaboration with Rome team.

Who You Are:

 

  • Solid Excel skills and proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Power point and Think cell) required; power pivot and access database skills a plus 
  • Solid skills and Knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules, SAP/Operational reporting and Oracle/Hyperion required 
  • Collaboration – ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required 

What You've Accomplished:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or other analytic field 
  • 4+ years’ experience as Financial Analyst/Controller  
  • Experience in and understanding of renewable energy sector  
  • Experience with financial modelling and ability to manage and analyze complex commercial and financial contractual transactions  
  • knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, both under IFRS and US GAAP
