About the Role:  

We are seeking a Geospatial Tech to join our Basemaps Production Team.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Satellite image processing and product quality control, including image orthorectification, mosaicking, color-balancing, geo-referencing, and other imagery based geometric, radiometric and spectral operations. 
  • Supporting the Sales Team, Software Team, and Management on various GIS, digital mapping and remote sensing projects.
  • Performing  R&D on image processing workflows for a wide variety of space sensors, and troubleshooting issues and problems, and ensuring smooth operation of processes. 

What You Bring:

  • University degree in remote sensing, GIS, digital mapping or similar.
  • Understanding of GIS and remote sensing software: ArcGIS, PCI Geomatica, ENVI, etc.
  • Understanding of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
  • Good knowledge in programming / scripting, especially Python a plus.
  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to procedural changes in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Additional information:

  • This is a full time position with a 3-month probationary period.
  • All work-related infrastructure (computer, digitizer etc.) will be provided.
  • This is a permanent work from home position (pre/post COVID). However, it might require some travel to company headquarters or other locations for staff meetings.
