Job Description

Bowery Farming, the Modern Farming Company, was founded in 2015 with the belief that technology and human ingenuity can grow better food for a better future. Propelled by its proprietary software system, the BoweryOS, Bowery builds smart indoor vertical farms that deliver a wide variety of Protected Produce — in little time, near cities they serve, for a truly local approach. Bowery’s farms are growing the next generation of vibrant and flavorful produce. They’re 100 times more productive on the same footprint of land than traditional agriculture, and grow traceable pesticide-free produce – the purest, best expression of what produce is meant to be – with a fraction of the water and land. About The Role:As a Marketing Coordinator at Bowery Farming, you will be part of a small team responsible for supporting communications and product innovation strategies that help us maintain our position as the global leader in smart indoor farming. Reporting to the Head of Communications, you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with the broader Marketing team to raise awareness of Bowery’s exceptional produce, the company’s mission and values, executive leaders, and partners. This is a unique opportunity to be a part of building a category-defining brand and supporting a rapid growth at a mission-driven company.

What You'll Do:

  • Partner with the Communications & Product Marketing Innovation teams to support the execution of our strategy
  • Work with the Communications team to develop a world class brand experience for key stakeholders, including coordinating and overseeing product seeding and swag shipments to media, influencers and important stakeholders
  • Work with the Product Marketing team to bring new products to life by supporting project management and product/go-to-market logistics
  • Research speaking engagement opportunities, journalists, awards and industry events
  • Conduct deep-dive audits to identify earned media opportunities tied to consumer, trade, brand and evergreen topics
  • Assist with social media content development to amplify earned media
  • Monitor industry news coverage and trends and flag relevant coverage to the Communications team
  • Attend industry panels and share key learnings with the broader team
  • Coordinate development and design of merchandising
  • Assist in consumer learning initiatives: Help organize logistics of slack community, monitor day to day and write prompts
  • Design and develop ad hoc quant studies if needed (naming, packaging design, etc)

Who You Are:

  • You have experience in Brand, Communications, or Product Marketing at a high-growth CPG company
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and are proactive and scrappy; you are effective working both independently and collaboratively
  • You have excellent organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • You are a self-starter who can manage several projects involving multiple stakeholders at once
  • You have enthusiasm for Bowery’s mission and how technology can improve the plant and our food supply
  • You are comfortable working in a flexible environment (working out of our farms, HQ, and remotely)

Who We Are:

  • Bowery is a place where everyone is welcome, included and empowered to reach their full potential
  • We live our shared values every day in both big and small ways: opt-in, think wildly different, break barriers together & be kind to the core
  • We are a mission-driven team of unconventional thinkers, problem-solvers, optimists and activators
  • We share a passion for giving back more to the planet than we take, growing deliciously abundant food without abundant harm
  • We are excited to hear from you!
