What You Will Be Doing

The Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer is responsible for deployment/management of ChargePoint Infrastructure to our Cloud Infrastructure in AWS. The deployment process will be developed by the DevOps team while considering all requirements. The team is responsible for keeping our service highly available, scalable, and well-performing across different regions of the world. The Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer should possess special responsibilities and skills for handling alerts 24/7 and responding promptly to errors, security threats, high-volume demand, and slow website.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

• Deploy and manage Cloud Infrastructure in AWS (using Terraform/Terraform Cloud).
• Provide technical leadership in establishing and guiding ChargePoint’s overall infrastructure processes, procedures, and methodologies to ensure best practices are in place and adhered by all IT staff.
• Assist program management team in establishing software release schedules and ensure deployment timeline targets are met.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to debug and troubleshoot application issues.
• Mentor new employees, perform technical interviews, and provide feedback and training as needed.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in Cloud Services (AWS required, GCP would be a plus)
  • vpc, subnets, ec2, ALB, NLB, security groups, S3, VPC peering, transit gateway, VPN, route53, ASG, EKS, ECS, ECR, SES, SNS, Cloudwatch, Lambda
• Terraform / Terraform Cloud IaC (Infrastructure as Code) platform
• Linux (Amazon Linux 2.0, RedHat/CentOS based Linux, ubuntu advantage)
• Linux scripting languages (bash / python)
• Development methodologies (gitHub / Jenkins)
• Docker containers and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, docker swarm)
• Okta Integrations (SAML2.0, provisioning applications) - using terraform okta provider would be a plus for integrations.
• Optional/Preferred Skills:
  • DaaS / VDI (Amazon Workspaces, AppStream2.0, Nutanix, others a plus)
  • Automation technologies (Okta Workflows, Jira Workflows)
