Volta's award-winning charging stations benefit brands, consumers, and real-estate locations by providing valuable advertising space to businesses and convenient charging to drivers. Strategically located in places consumers already visit, Volta's chargers are currently the most used electric vehicle charging stations in the United States.
The Opportunity at Volta ChargingWe are seeking a high-performing individual to be an Analyst for our Field Operations Team to help us use data and analysis to improve the quality and efficiency of our operation, provide excellent driver experience, and make data driven decisions. This is a demanding but rewarding role for anyone intellectually curious, detail-oriented, and intrinsically motivated to “move the needle” in terms of impact at a fast-growing startup.
This role can be based in San Francisco or remote.

After twelve months, you will have accomplished:

  • You demonstrate a mastery of our data, systems, and processes, through developing innovative reports and contributing to the design and/or implementation of systems that enable reporting and analysis  
  • You will have developed an internal network of peers, allies, stakeholders and customers with whom you partner to anticipate needs and deliver excellent analytical tools and insights
  • Analysis of hardware failure data to identify product or construction quality issues
  • You will have helped significantly improve decision making and efficiency for Volta’s Network Operations department and related functions

What you bring to Volta Charging:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a similar analytical role 
  • College degree or equivalent military/business experience
  • A thirst for learning and mastering new skills
  • Process improvement: Business process mapping, identifying bottlenecks and streamlining workflows
  • Project facilitation: you are comfortable leading cross-functional groups to develop and improve processes and systems
  • Data analysis: strong SQL or similar skill set, experience with business intelligence and/or database analysis systems
  • You are a spreadsheet wizard, with mastery of index matches, lookup, data validation functions, as well as experience with data connectors, and macro scripts

Bonus Points:

  • You have a passion for the EV industry
  • You have experience with the force.com platform
  • You have experience with machine learning (AI) algorithms in an operational setting
  • Software coding skills
