Frontend Software Developer

Overview 

BeZero Carbon offers an end-to-end decarbonisation service for its clients including carbon offsets. We have developed a ratings framework in order to find the highest quality offsets to recommend to our clients. 

This role will be focused on automating our offsetting service, including developing the front end platform for users to interact with the BeZero Rating and integrating purchasing options. BeZero has an agreement with a third party that is developing a fully operational web-based database and an API for external application of ratings to projects. The successful candidate will be required to help manage and deliver this project and integrate it into BeZero’s systems.

Required Skills

The stack is unformed so open to discussion but probably React/Node based solution, talking to a third-party REST API. 

Infrastructure - to be discussed but happy with AWS/GCP/Vercel/…

• Experience with Git and continuous integration tools e.g circle ci, jenkins
• Experience using Trello, Atlassian (for example) to manage the development process
• Be able to explain your work and processes to a non-technical audience

Experience

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of front end experience. We will be building MVPs so a focus on efficiently building products a bonus.

Salary

The salary is £50-70k depending on experience, with the potential for equity-based performance-related pay.
