CREO is a NYC-headquartered 501(c)3 public charity with a mission to galvanize capital for climate and sustainability solutions and the decarbonization of industries. With a focus on capital markets, CREO works towards the goal of transforming the economy into a sustainable system that supports a decarbonized future for all.

CREO is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to manage and optimize the outcomes of CREO’s deal process for the Americas region (U.S., Canada, Mexico, Central and South America). The process includes deal origination, deal review and in some cases due diligence, matching investment opportunities to member interests and facilitating investment. The scope covers the broad spectrum of interest of CREO’s community of family offices and other asset owners across sectors, including energy, mobility and transportation, food systems (including agriculture and aquaculture), waste management, chemicals and materials, manufacturing, water, and forestry; and across asset classes, including direct investments in venture, private equity, infrastructure, real assets, and SPVs; listed equities; and emerging fund managers active in both private and public markets.

This broad-ranging role will work closely with CREO’s Deal Team, including the Global Head of Research and the Investment Director, EMEA. The Investment Director, Americas will report to the Managing Director, Americas.

Year One Objectives

  1. Collaborate with the Global Head of Research and Investment Director, EMEA to implement CREO’s global deal origination strategy and global research initiatives to bring visibility and scalability of CREO services in support of global expansion;
  2. Partner with CREO’s Deal Team to build a multi-sector and multi-asset class investment opportunity pipeline for the Americas region, including an increase in deals originated in CREO’s newest sub-regions of Canada and Latin America;
  3. Develop a strong understanding of member investment strategies and strategies of other stakeholders, such as entrepreneurs and investment/consulting firms, in the Americas region to ensure quality deal flow and an increased rate of actioned deals by members;
  4. Support the deployment of capital into climate and sustainability solutions in the Americas regions by researching and tracking marketplace trends and developing analyses for certain deals or industries to aggregate data and provide real-time learning opportunities to members;
  5. Increase CREO’s presence as a neutral and action-oriented resource for family office investors in the Americas region by acting as an ambassador for CREO at relevant CREO meetings and industry events in the U.S., Canada, Latin America, and possibly elsewhere.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 7-10 years work experience with a variety of investment experience in venture, private equity, investment banking, financial management, and/or strategic consulting
  • Demonstration of the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Fluency in English; fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or French desirable
  • Experience with climate and/or sustainability investing strategies preferred

Compensation & Benefits

This role will be paid a salary commensurate with experience.

CREO reimburses $75 monthly for cell phone plans.

CREO relies on TriNet as our employer of record, and TriNet administers our benefits and 401(k) plans. Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans are available for the employee plus spouse, children, and whole family; CREO contributes a monthly flat fee towards premiums, with the specific amount dependent on plan type, plus $50,000 in Basic Life AD&D. After six months of service, employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan, and CREO matches contributions up to 4% annually.

CREO offers flexible schedules to accommodate personal obligations and/or caregiving responsibilities.
