CREO is a NYC-headquartered 501(c)3 public charity with a mission to galvanize capital for climate and sustainability solutions and the decarbonization of industries. With a focus on capital markets, CREO works towards the goal of transforming the economy into a sustainable system that supports a decarbonized future for all.

CREO is seeking a multi-faceted business operations professional to manage the human resources and operations functions for a global organization, including a team presence in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom with growth to Latin America and Asia by end of 2023. The human resources function includes recruiting, onboarding, performance management, training, and administration for a quickly growing team of 10 (up to 25-30 by end of 2023); the operations function includes member management, insurance, contract management, information technology, and general administration for an international organization aimed at global growth.

This crucial position will work closely with CREO’s Executive Leadership Team across various projects as well as CREO’s external accountant on any finance and accounting matters. The HR & Operations Manager will report to the Managing Director, Americas.

Year One Objectives

  1. Develop and implement inclusive and culturally-aligned HR processes to manage and support the full employee life cycle for all CREO employees, with a focus on improving the onboarding and performance management processes;
  2. Clarify and organize CREO’s operations function to ensure efficiency in each department and scalability as we expand to new geographies, including the coordination and partnership with CREO’s external accountant in relation to accounting and taxes;
  3. Partner with CREO’s managed service provider for Salesforce to transfer management of the CREO membership cycle into Salesforce, including tracking for the onboarding process, invoicing, and developing relevant communications;
  4. Coordinate with CREO’s external accountant to develop a monthly and quarterly reporting process to ensure information sharing with the Executive Leadership Team and timely deliverables for board meeting packets;
  5. Build relationships across the CREO team to strengthen CREO’s culture and create an HR safe-space for all CREO employees to seek guidance or discuss private matters.

Desired Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of work experience in a variety of roles in people/culture and/or operations
  • Demonstration of the ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
  • Comfort working in a multi-time-zone setting that leverages cloud-based platforms for work activities and communications, including Outlook, Slack, and Salesforce
  • Fluency in English; fluency in other languages desirable
  • Experience in the non-profit sector preferred
  • Undergraduate degree in business or equivalent preferred

Compensation & Benefits

This role will be paid a salary commensurate with experience.

CREO reimburses $75 monthly for cell phone plans.

CREO relies on TriNet as our employer of record, and TriNet administers our benefits and 401(k) plans. Medical, dental, and vision insurance plans are available for the employee plus spouse, children, and whole family; CREO contributes a monthly flat fee towards premiums, with the specific amount dependent on plan type, plus $50,000 in Basic Life AD&D. After six months of service, employees are eligible to participate in the 401(k) plan, and CREO matches contributions up to 4% annually.

CREO offers flexible schedules to accommodate personal obligations and/or caregiving responsibilities.
