SUMMARY

As a Nexamp Remote Pilot, you will be responsible for all aspects of supporting our rapidly expanding photovoltaic (PV) asset base. Your primary responsibilities will include, but shall not be limited to, planning and executing flight operations; generating and maintaining reports; tracking flight and maintenance logs; maintaining equipment; and coordinating with subcontractors in various markets across the United States. You will interact regularly with your team manager, aviation industry officials, system owners, contractors, equipment manufacturers, software vendors, electricians, designers and project managers. You will maintain Nexamp’s current standards for health and safety, while ensuring the preservation of property on site and for the surrounding public. In addition, you will have the opportunity to support various O&M related activities in both field and office environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, schedule, resource and execute aerial inspections of ground mounted and rooftop solar plants.
  • Maintain equipment, flight logs, maintenance records, inventory and training.
  • Verify captured datasets while onsite and manage the upload and processing of those datasets.
  • Organize and issue generated reports. Log found anomalies from each generated report.
  • Interact with owners, operations and maintenance (O&M) providers, and subcontractors.
  • Capture aesthetically pleasing photos and videos.
  • Create marketing material that is beautiful and stunning so that it can be shared on Nexamp’s various social media channels.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.

Key qualifications are as follows:

  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate in good standing.
  • 2 or more years of experience.
  • Practical hands-on experience as a remote pilot in command including a demonstrable safety record.
  • Strong contemporary office skills with computers, programs, communications and remote computing.
  • Experienced photographer and videographer with a great artistic eye for aesthetics and the ability to enhance with specialized computer software.
  • Safe attitude, sound judgement and ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Ability to read plans, analyze raw data, identify trends and deliver appropriate issue resolutions.
  • Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain same.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs of equipment.
  • Willingness to travel at least 70% is required.
