We are looking for an exceptional Supply Chain Program Manager who can diagnose and solve complex business problems through data analysis, scenario modeling, and  data-informed recommendations to join our team. The Supply Chain Program Manager will work closely with multiple stakeholders in different geographies, and have the ability to run multiple scenarios and drive new innovations.
The ideal candidate will possess both an analytical background that enables them to manage global network planning of the complete supply chain, and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about customer experience initiatives. In this role, you will experience a wide range of modeling and problem solving situations, from strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of data collection and analysis. The successful candidate will work in lock-step with multiple business teams, Commercialization, Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Finance among others.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This person will be responsible to help define and drive the establishment of Supply Chain Management for the Product Commercialization Process.
  • Responsibilities include the managing and building of new solutions to simplify business processes and deliver on our strategic objectives.
  • Has the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and act on those findings, by facilitating and introducing lean culture and procedures to drive business performance improvements

  • Drives company-wide lean initiatives to improve operational effectiveness as measured by quality, lead-time reduction and customer satisfaction.
  •  Identifies and implements continuous improvement activities to produce tangible savings and process improvements in the manufacturing process.
  • Supports the Senior Director of Product Commercialization across the various manufacturing departments to move the overall culture in the manufacturing operations and drive efficiencies and increased productivity by way of coaching and mentoring and training employees on improvement tools such as:  Lean Thinking, 5S and Lean & Waste elimination approaches.
  • Is able to work in a team environment and demonstrate supporting the overall manufacturing process through the lean and continuous improvement. principles; teamwork, cooperation, respect, and integrity.
  • Prepares and tracks project metrics and schedules.
  • Collaborates with peers and department managers to determine key goals and objectives, and corresponding metrics. Reviews and amends these actions as appropriate.
  • Performs root cause analysis and proposes/implements process improvements to further the manufacturing output and optimizes all phases of production process.
  • Actively manage and build rapport with the executive team and strategically advise on priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business priorities.
  • Provide frequent and transparent updates, manage sponsor expectations, and keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of all in-flight products/projects.
  • Actively contribute to the development of the Beyond Meat culture and standards of quality.
  • Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodologies to reduce cycle time and remove waste from the existing commercialization process and subsequent manufacturing processes.
  • Establish robust progress and performance reporting mechanisms supporting data-driven decision making. Actively manage and build rapport with the executive team and strategically advise on priorities, options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on other business priorities.
  • Provide frequent and transparent updates, manage sponsor expectations, and keep all stakeholders informed of the progress of all in-flight products/projects.
  • Consistently identify, implement, and socialize the most effective processes, tools, and systems to keep the department current with world-class best practices.
  • Analyze sales forecasts, inventory, operating and capacity plans for worldwide production to meet customer demand, globally and by region.
  • Cost and service optimization for operations and new or renovated product introductions spread across multiple countries worldwide.
  • Build short and long term capacity and operational models, scenario assessments, and plans for different global regions to optimize capacity planning, production attainment, and costs.
  • Improve performance to plan by identifying, measuring, and managing key metrics related to deployment and distribution of production capacity, production attainments achieved,  and response flexibility.  And the ability to do so from global, regional, and site level perspectives.
  • Capture the right metrics to influence stakeholders and measure success.
  • Participate in global Commercialization and Operations initiatives and project roll outs to cater to growing and/or changing business needs.
  • Promote process improvement and standardization of processes across all sites in the network.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience in operations or business analysis.
  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, engineering, or closely related concentrations.
  • 3+ years experience modeling data and/or statistical forecasting.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and Excel (Experience with R, SAS, SPSS, or Python a plus).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Operations, Business, Analytics or a related field.
  • Experience with OBIEE, Business Objects, NetSuite, or Tableau.
