About the Role:

The receiving clerk’s main function is to record, data entry, and process shipments received in the warehouse. The receiving clerk maintains relationships and communicates all discrepancies with supply and inventory staff. The receiving clerk is responsible for record-keeping for all inbound purchase orders.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively generates delivery schedule
  • Greets and directs delivery drivers and visitors in the warehouse
  • Verifies accuracy of shipments against the bill of lading and purchase order
  • Communicates directly with suppliers while troubleshooting any inconsistencies with orders
  • Maintaining accurate order guides for supplies
  • Signs invoices for deliveries
  • Partners with QC in the collection of yield and pulp temperature data
  • Receives purchase orders in Oracle Netsuite
  • Manages and maintains records of all received shipments
  • Creates, applies and tracks detailed labels for received products

Details of the Position:

  • Full-time, non-exempt position ($16.50 per hour) reporting to the Warehouse and Inventory Manager
  • The position is based out of our warehouse in Severn, MD

  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are varied according to shift. There are occasions where overtime is required based upon operational needs. The Receiving Clerk is expected to work the hours it takes to finish assignments each day.

How we are protecting employees from COVID-19

At Imperfect Foods, employee health and safety is our top priority. We have implemented processes and precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our facilities. We provide gloves, masks, and hand sanitizer to all essential employees who must report to work. Before entering our warehouse, employees have their temperatures checked. In addition, we take great care to ensure frequently touched surfaces are sanitized throughout the day and all warehouses are fully sanitized weekly.

We have also implemented an Emergency Sick Leave policy providing full-time and part-time employees 2 additional weeks of paid time off and up to 26 weeks paid leave if they have a confirmed case of COVID-19.
