Fast-paced, early-stage biotech company seeking a Technology Transfer Manager to support the rapid expansion of global aerial mycelium production capacity through External Scale Up and Technology Transfer to existing mushroom farms.

Support the rapid expansion of global aerial mycelium production capacity through External Scale-Up and Technology Transfer to existing mushroom farms
Manage multiple projects with external farms in different regions at different stages in the technology transfer process
Maintain relationships with commercial growers, coordinating between external parties and Ecovative Legal team to determine contracts and Ecovative and partner business teams to manage expectations and delivery of the product
Coordinate closely with Ecovative Pilot and Foundry teams on scale-up challenges, research targets and priorities, and new discoveries
Manage a small team of specialists in support of External Scale-Up and Technology Transfer, including hiring, selection, performance management, development, and employee relations
Develop and organize technology transfer documentation and training materials
Bachelor’s degree in related field with a minimum of 7 years in relevant biotechnology or indoor agriculture field. A candidate with significant experience with the ability to lead the technology transfer team will be considered in lieu of a degree
A minimum of three years in a people management capacity
Demonstrated experience in scale-up, project management, research partnerships, and contract manufacturing
Familiarity with mushroom cultivation
Availability for travel up to 50% of the time, including site support for critical start-up and trials
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Experience developing training materials and performing necessary training
Able to work remotely and travel where necessary. Travel has been postponed through the pandemic
Must be a self-driven and motivated individual with a track record of making business connections and successful project completion
PMP or CMAP certification
Background in commercial mushroom farming
