ESMC is a non-profit public-private partnership with agricultural supply chain and value chain members collaboratively co-investing in a scalable ecosystem services market program that is science-based, standards-based and producer-facing. ESMC's program ensures generation of high-integrity, credible outcomes-based credits that are quantified and verified to market standards. ESMC's innovative market and protocol design generates soil carbon credits, reduced greenhouse gas credits, water quality credits, and water use conservation credits. By quantifying outcomes and stacking credits growers
can be recognized and paid for their multiple benefits to society. ESMC's program is national in scale and covers all major US crop and livestock production systems.


As Business Development Director, you will be responsible for:
● Establishing Business Plan Development for ESMC Market Program Development and September 2022 Market Program Launch.
● Develop Business Plans during ESMC soft launch and piloting phase (September 2022).
● Track, update and inform current Cost of Goods and Services (COGS) models for completeness and accuracy.
● Identify targets for membership (i.e. # members, income generation from paid memberships), and estimate other income streams (e.g. from sale of credits).
● Develop/Update/Improve Program Descriptions/Documents.
● Develop credit templates - certificates/receipts/serial numbers.
● Update and maintain an ESMC Market Program Business Plan to inform and enable development and launch of a national scale U.S ecosystem services market for agriculture.
● Ensure business plan reflects and supports a September 2022 ESMC market program launch, and milestones for growth and viability over 5 years (through 2027) and 10 years (through 2032).
● Work with the ESMC team to document ESMC program and program delivery.
● Inform ESMC program plans and delivery to enable delivery of essential program elements in a timely fashion.
● Support development and refinement of contracts needed for program delivery.
● Develop documentation on cost of processes and how credits will be tracked in the ESMC market program.
● Project budgeting.

FTE Contractor Role
● Contract: 12-months, full time
● No benefits included
● Salary up to 150k
