What You Will Be Doing

ChargePoint is seeking a Product Manager of Product Operations with some Operations experience, Product Management experience and a technical degree (EE preferred).  The role of this individual is as follows:

+Manage various Product Life Cycle Activities including End Of Life, End of Support programs, Early Bid process, Sales Training, Beta release, and GA.

+Maintain and evangelize the Product Request Portal and ensure timely disposition of those requests as well as work with IT to ensure that the request has access to the respective JIRA ticket.

+Monitor Product Health for all products for the group.

+Set schedule, set agenda for, and host the monthly Product Planning Forum for Product Requests.  Work with content providers to ensure all are ready to the meeting.  Ensure that approved projects move to the next stage in the development process.

+Improve the P/N Creation Process for the broader Product Management team.  Work with Documentation teams as well as regional teams so that this process is efficient and well understood by all.

+Support sustaining product activities, including prioritization of field issues, field upgrades, running changes, and special SKUs.

+Document answers to customer technical questions that cannot be answered by sales staff or product support specialists using existing documentation.  Support the evolution of knowledge base sharing. 

+Support efforts of Solutions Engineering and Engineering to create more visibility regarding program status, program updates, Roadmap updates.

+Support operations in planning production, safety stock, sales targets and transitions from inception to end-of-life for specified products.

+Support marketing, sales and support through leading the development and maintenance of various technical marketing collateral including application notes, FAQs, product notes, user guides, field training presentations, online marketing content and demos.

+Develop hands-on, in-depth knowledge of competitive products and maintain technical analysis of competitive strengths and weaknesses.

+Coordinate beta testing of new products and features. Document and report problems and recommend solutions/improvements to program managers. Participate in product performance bench-marking activities.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • A minimum of two years of experience in Operations / Production and Product Management of hardware products from industries such as consumer electronics, payment terminals, consumer mobile, wireless products, electric vehicles, or similar industries.
  • Experience working with Engineering, Operations, Sales Operations, Documentation Control.
  • Passionate about ChargePoint and our mission.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong self-starting initiative with a sense of urgency.
  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree preferred.
