Job Description

At Volta we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta's award-winning charging stations benefit brands, consumers, and real-estate locations by providing valuable advertising space to businesses and convenient charging to drivers. Strategically located in places consumers already visit, Volta's chargers are currently the most used electric vehicle charging stations in the United States.
Volta partners with large portfolio accounts to deploy its charging network and the Network Operations group is responsible for the engineering design, construction, and ongoing operation of the Volta network. As an Enterprise Account Deployment Manager, you will be Network Operations’ main point-of-contact for these portfolio clients, working closely with the Engineering and Construction teams to ensure station rollouts are executed quickly, efficiently, and in close collaboration with the client.  
This is not a sales role. You will partner closely with a counterpart in Volta’s Site Sales account management team to ensure Volta’s major accounts are managed with velocity, clarity, and a bias towards growth. You will understand all the Operations-related issues on a project-level basis within the portfolio, and you will maintain and develop a deep relationship with your accounts to ensure we’re delivering an efficient, streamlined, expanding pipeline of projects. 
The ideal candidate has a technical brain with a customer-centric mindset. You will be developing processes, creating value, and deepening relationships with your accounts, and you’ll be doing it by delivering highly technical, well-communicated project management of the charging pipeline. You will be managing projects that require quality, timely execution by your teammates, and you’ll need to be excited by the influential management such a role requires. The ideal candidate has a combined skillset oriented towards strategic account management and hands-on, detail-oriented project management.
This is a highly independent role, reporting to the SVP of Network Operations. We are looking for self-motivated and proactive individuals, who will drive all projects with a sense of urgency and are passionate about seeing their work manifest in the acceleration of a sustainable future. 
This is a full-time role, hiring in San Francisco, New York, and we’re open to remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Manage to all levels of Volta’s national and regional portfolio clients, from on-site facilities team members to C-suite executives 
  • Continuously engage with Volta’s portfolio clients, ensuring clear communication, pushing for accelerated project execution on all fronts, and resolving all obstacles to project completion
  • Partner with Engineering and Construction project managers to ensure charging projects in your accounts are on track and up-to-date 
  • Partner with Volta’s Site Sales team on strategies and initiatives to increase revenue, site volume, and expand Volta’s relationships with key accounts
  • Manage multiple accounts, each with a high volume of individual projects in various stages of the project development pipeline

Qualifications

  • Passion for the electrification of mobility and working on initiatives to drive the adoption of electric vehicles for all 
  • Detail oriented, highly organized, innately wired to seek order from chaos
  • Excellent communication skills, with a focus on efficient clarity
  • 5-15 years of experience in project management, account management, or customer success
  • Adept at developing working relationships
  • Structured approach to problem solving, the ability to read a client’s decision-making structure and identify avenues to aligning goals
  • Technically capable of reading permit sets, construction drawings, and understanding construction techniques and workflows
  • Experience in real estate management/development, retail or grocery sectors, or design and construction highly preferred
