The Transport Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the refinement and execution of the Transport commercial strategy, as Indigo grows it’s freight marketplace and software solutions for shippers and carriers of dry bulk goods, including agricultural products.  They will be comfortable collaborating with cross-functional business leaders to understand organizational pain points, in order to build out reports and dashboards that will provide insights for data based decision making.  With technical skills to complement their analytical experience, they will solve business problems, collaborate across teams, and be passionate about data and having an impact on their team.

Key Outcomes

Strategy:

  • Articulate and refine Transportation Offering and GTM strategy in partnership with senior leaders in Transport, NA commercial, product and offering management teams for internal and external communication and alignment

Roadmap & Planning:

  • Develop and own the business plan supporting transport strategy, converting the strategic plan and vision into actionable steps, outcomes, key milestones and performance targets

Forecasting & Reporting:

  • Quantify and detail planning into annual and quarterly forecasts that dovetail with weekly and monthly performance reporting (including sales incentive plan), becoming the source of truth for all Transport data and systems

Project Leadership:

  • Drive complex and transformational projects  to advance the Transport roadmap and reporting capabilities, becoming and effective advocate for Transport in cross functional settings

Cross Functional Coordination:

  • Work with teams outside of the transportation offering to ensure tight tactical and strategic alignment with Indigo Grain Marketing, Geoanalytics, Marketing, Finance and Corporate Development

Key Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in Analytics and business operations with consulting, finance, or high-growth startup background
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, growth environment
  • Technical experience with various Analytics/Visualization tools: SQL, Looker, Tableau, Excel, etc. highly preferred
  • Experience managing teams preferred: Direct management or leading by influence
  • Transportation / supply chain industry experience preferred
