Job Description

We are looking for an outstanding strategist to lead our communication and marketing campaigns.
Climate Farmers is a young, driven impact start-up, with the vision of regenerative agriculture scaled globally. We're building the infrastructure for this scaling by developing an open-access knowledge platform, transition finance instruments and the central European regenerative farming community.
Regenerative farming is no longer a niche-topic, but the central element to the European Green Deal and will receive major attention in the coming months and years. Join us in shaping the future of Europe's agricultural sector!

We are a dedicated team with strong backing and a visionary approach. Our community is growing quickly, as is the relevance of the topic. As the communication strategist, you lead our communication and marketing efforts.
You work closely with the CEO and our Head of Design/Brand, as well as a team of junior people in social media and communication.

Tasks

Your responsibilities:

  • Translate the overall company strategy into a marketing & communications strategy
  • Identify market dynamics and potentials to position our brand
  • Develop campaigns which will place our brand as the central place to go for farmers (primarily), consultants/experts, food/fashion companies, researchers and policy-makers
  • Work with your team to plan and implement campaigns
  • Build PR with the growing interest for regenerative agriculture
  • Build out tone of voice and placement of our brand
  • Build internal processes and capacities
  • Ensure our brand message is strong and consistent across all channels and marketing efforts (like events, email campaigns, web pages and promotional material)
  • Prepare internal and external presentations

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in leading marketing & communications strategies
  • Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
  • Experience in planning and implementing successful marketing campaigns
  • Leadership experience
  • Capacity of building high-impact campaigns in a start-up setting
  • Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Openness and experience in working with remote teams
  • Ideally previous experience or personal links to the agrifood sector
