Director, Hardware Engineering

What You Will Be Doing

The Hardware Engineering Intern will participate in circuit analysis and design as well as troubleshooting hardware related issues in the lab and field environments.  This person will work with the other members of the Hardware Engineering team to gain a level of understanding of electric vehicle charging stations that will enable the candidate to contribute to the development of the next generation of charging station products.

Depending on the project need specific tasks could range from theoretical Digital and/or Analog circuit design, bread-boarding prototype circuits,  prototype circuit test and validation, schematic CAD circuit implementation, board layout supervision, test fixture and cable assembly, beta product electrical and mechanical assembly.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint

  • Background in electrical/electronic design.
  • Desire to innovate and create new technologies in vehicle charging.
  • Must be hands-on, inventive, curious, and creative.

Requirements

  • Analog and digital circuit design exposure.
  • Coding experience a plus - C++ or assembly.
  • 2+ years of college-level coursework.in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines.
