As a member of the Infrastructure team at Aurora, you will own the architectural foundation of how our software systems connect to humans and services alike, creating observable systems that are designed to scale for high-performant, global use.We are a diverse team that’s passionate about advancing the growth of solar energy. What you'll do:

  • Drive creation and adoption of a unified observability framework based around Datadog, enabling our engineers to diagnose and address emergent events in our multi-component architecture spread across Heroku, AWS, and a number of critical 3rd-party systems
  • Work with the Infrastructure team to develop and deliver the frameworks and training that will empower Aurora Engineering to roll out resilient, observable services from day one
  • Serve a key role in the advancement of Aurora’s certification goals by directing discussion on key, cross-functional programs such as Aurora Incident Response
  • Define, build, and deploy key infrastructure and architecture patterns that will provide shared insight into Aurora systems enabling both high uptime and rapid incident response
  • Educate and evangelize best practices through a combination of written documentation, internal presentations, and proactive assistance
  • Assist fellow Infrastructure members in ongoing iterative improvements across all technology stacks that affect the security and reliability of technology throughout the organization.

What we value:

  • Significant experience in shipping quality code in a variety of languages and development environments
  • A proven track record of initiative management such as incident response and engineering training
  • Experience in the design and rollout of software systems, owning both technical deployment and human-oriented documentation
  • A love of pragmatic craftsmanship
