Backend Team Leader

Tomorrow.io Product & Engineering department is focused on building changing lives software and products at scale, from infrastructure that handles massive amounts of data to outstanding customer centric user experiences in B2B, B2C and B2D products that change billions of lives worldwide. We’re looking for a Backend Team Leader who will build and mentor our talented team, while Deliver scalable, high quality weather products focusing on business impact with a delightful user experience.
As a Team Leader at Tomorrow.io You’ll build the team growth plan together with them, and enable them opportunities to implement it. You’ll encourage collaboration and ensure your team is inspired and understand the strategic direction. You’ll also partner with Product managers to prioritize the tasks of the team. We trust you to make sure your team will feel motivated, impactful and know their purpose.

What you bring:

• Building server-side APIs is a second language to you, and you enjoy creating delightful and polished APIs.
• You’re at the top of your game in NodeJS.
• You have hands-on experience with cloud technologies such as k8s, docker, cloud functions and working with relational / non-relations DBs.
• Your software design skills are solid. You have experience with solving complex product needs with simple software architecture.
• You are responsible, and have good self management skills. You know to estimate effort, manage your time, and work in a predictive manner.
• You have strong ownership of your deliveries. You are accountable for your work, and your work can be trusted, end to end.
• Teamwork is natural to you. You reach out to peers and cooperates with supervisors to establish an overall collaborative working relationship.
• You work in full transparency. What you say is what you do.
