POSITION SUMMARY: The Process Development Specialist 2 is responsible for supporting the company's user community of our PLM environment.  The PLM platform interfaces with the company’s CAD tools, as well as future ERP system. The Process Development Specialist 2 will provide support for the development of processes, procedures and workflows inside the PLM environment, as well as provides operational and troubleshooting support, business requirements gathering, and end user guidance primarily for the company’s engineering and manufacturing teams but also for cross-functional business groups using the PLM system. This role works under the direction and supervision of the Process Development Specialist Lead. This position is a newly created role as part of the roll-out of our PLM initiative.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Implement engineering and corporate process migration and enhancements needed to support PLM implementation.
  2. Develop business use cases and software requirements for improvements to our product lifecycle management (PLM) system under the direction of senior technical personnel.
  3. Develop, review, and manage procedures ensuring completeness, accuracy, regulatory and customer compliance, and quality objectives.
  4. Execute training and communication plans during major process changes.
  5. Effectively collaborate across disciplines including engineering, operations, licensing, and program management to ensure efficiency and consistency across the organization.
  6. Set a culture of achievement, and success within the process development team, with the number one goal of organizational satisfaction.
  7. Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:

  • Education: Associates degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management or other technical field is required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Additional 2 years’ related experience (4 years total) or applicable IT certifications may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Experience: 2 years’ business analyst or workflow development experience required, PLM workflow experience preferred. Process development or management experience in a highly regulated industry highly desirable.
  • Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
  • Quality Assurance: Demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality assurance regulations, standards and guidelines of 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, 10 CFR 21, and NQA-1 preferred.
